Kalymnos folklore songs follow the rules of Greek folklore music: A song and dance for every case.
Sometimes high emotional like the o MICHANIKOS - the dance of a Sponge Diver suffering from the Bends and sometimes joyful and teasing like the DIRLADA 5+4=9 a Dirlada version sung on Kalymnos before the worldwide hit "DIRLADA KAI TEZA OLOI" by PANDELIS GHINIS

In this section we will present a few songs connected with sponge diving. You can download them in MP3 and find information about ordering a CD.

In the Videos play list of dances and songs from Kalymnos island we collect the videos published in YouTube with Kalymnos Dances or Kalymnos music background.

Most of the songs, lyrics and pictures come from the CDs of "Lykeion ton Hellinidon" and "Kyriakos Bairamis".
